Getting Honest With Yourself

Are you floating through life with frustrations? With your job? Your health? Your age? Sometimes it requires a dose of honesty to realize what you really want out of life and how to go about it.

Our next series of in person classes will focus on getting honest with who you are, how you can best take of yourself, your thoughts about aging and your body.

Each class is 90 minutes of fun (yes, fun) and a great way to meet new people while gaining great insight about your life.

July 16 - "True Self Care - Identifying What Actually Makes You Feel Like Your Best Self"

August 24 - "Your Relationship to Aging"

October 1 (virtual) - "Working Through Body Grief and Your Changing Body"

Each class is $39 and all classes are held at the meeting room in the Eden Prairie Scheels store.

July - "True Self Care - Identifying What Actually Makes You Feel Like Your Best Self"

Self care is often marketed as a bath, getting your nails done, hanging with the boys or going out drinking. Those may be fun things, but they are not self care.

Join us to discuss what true self care is for YOU. From taking care of your body and your mind to the adventures you put into your life.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to identify and create a self care plan that actually makes you feel better.

  • What you need to do in order to implement change into your life.

  • How to get more clear on what you DO NOT want in your life and what doesn't make you feel good.

August - "Your Relationship to Aging"

Do you like aging? Do you hate aging? I've heard mixed reviews from friends, family and clients. In this class we are going to dive into what aging means to you and how to embrace it (yes I know that sounds cheesy).

What You Will Learn:

  • How to identify what you love about your current life.

  • How to come to grips with what you've lost or what has passed you by.

  • How to reclaim parts of you that you used to love.

  • How to think optimistically about the future.

September - "Working Through Body Grief and Your Changing Body"

Bodies change throughout our lifetime. But what often happens is that we don't adapt to the change and spend so much time fighting it.

For me it happened when I started having knee problems, gained weight and struggled to adapt to the idea that I needed to adjust my training and nutrition to my new body.

Struggles with our changing bodies can happen because of injuries, age or from a variety of factors.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to understand your current body

  • Become honest with what you miss about a former version of your body

  • Go through the stages of grief as it relates to your body

  • Find a new appreciation and outlook for the body you have now and the future
