Confession – There are many days I do not feel like working out – AT ALL.
You know those days – right? You have the best laid plans in your head, all the motivation in the world, and then it hits you – I DON’T WANT TO DO IT.
You battle back and forth – I want to, I don’t want to, I want to, I don’t want to.
It’s exhausting. There are days where your body needs a rest. But often times this is our mind playing tricks on us.
Many of these times I make a deal with myself. Go for a long walk if it’s nice out, work out for only 15 minutes, or something where I’m moving my body. What I don’t allow myself to do is to sit around, stay on the computer, watch tv, or simply waste the time that I had planned for the work out.
So do yourself a favor the next time you don’t feel like the work out you had planned – change it up. Go for a walk, try a new class, do a shorter circuit, go for a bike ride, go the park with your kids and play on the playground, do sprints instead of a long run.
The reality may be that you just simply don’t want to do the work out you had planned.
But remember – YOU WILL NEVER REGRET A WORK OUT.
Have a great week and try some new things!
