Confession: The picture to the right is where I record the videos I send out. (Did you see the videos – never fear – they will be linked in this email.) Do you see that purple chair in the way back? That’s where I sit.

But I bet you wouldn’t know that based on the videos.

I decided that I wanted to send out videos with information for you, but I don’t have the perfect set-up or really a clue about how to make videos. I did it anyway and I will learn along the way.

“Don’t let perfection be the evil of good.”

“It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be shared.”

I kept hearing these quotes from other entrepreneurs in podcasts and blogs about simply putting your work out there and not worrying about perfectionism.

I will continue to remind myself of this as I learn how to be self-employed, how I want to share my knowledge and make an impact. It will never be perfect, but I will keep sharing and evaluating.

How many times do we hold ourselves back from doing something because we don’t know how to do something, we know it won’t be perfect, or we are simply afraid of doing it wrong?? Or…what will people think if I don’t do it perfectly?

Life is about learning and trying new things and putting yourself out there. You truly will not know what you can do or who you can be if you let your fear of perfectionism hold you back.

And really – is anyone perfect? No. So quit beating yourself up or waiting to do something. JUST TRY. I am willing to bet you will be thrilled by putting yourself out there.

I laughed so hard when I FINALLY put my first video up on you tube. Why? Because my hair was in a ponytail (normal), I was in that messy back office room, and I had NO IDEA what I was doing, but I figured it out enough.

So tell me – what are you holding back from doing? I want to know so we can try new things together. Email me http://lindsey@lindseyheiserman.com

Have a great week – go be fearless.
